Rupert Sanderson perfected the art of shoemaking when he worked for two renowned shoe designers, Sergio Rossi and Bruno Magli. A firm believer that "less is more", his focus is on the line, balance and symmetry of the shoe to create a pair that flatters and lengthens the leg. Sanderson's first collection came out in 2001. And in 2008 he bagged the Accessory Designer of the Year award. This paved the way for his fame to spread across the UK and the US. Victoria Beckham recently posted a picture of the "Birdie" pumps, Jessica Chastain attended an event in his "Irene" platform sandals and The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton has been spotted wearing the "Malone" pumps in London. To further strengthen his US presence, Sanderson signed a deal with retail giant Barneys New York for them to carry his creations and collaborate on a Barneys-exclusive shoe collection.
