Mario Prada founded the Italian luxury fashion house in 1913. The company specialized in ready-to-wear leather and fashion accessories, shoes, luggage, perfumes, and watches. Even though Mario Prada never believed in involving women in the business, his daughter was the one, who assumed his work after he resigned. Nevertheless, Mario's granddaughter Miuccia was the international developer of the label. She opened shops in the big fashion cities worldwide, and she founded the label 'Miu Miu' to provide fashion for the younger generation. Prada gained great attention due to its clean lines, opulent fabrics and basic colours in their designs.
