His watches quickly gained a solid reputation in Western Europe, Russia, and Scandinavia. After 1963, the German family Scheufele bought the watch manufacturing company. Renowned for creativity and excellent work of the craftsmen, the family turned the company into one of the leading names in the high-end watch and jewellery industry. The current man in charge at Chopard is Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, who leads the company together with his sister.
